It was the summer of 1986...
...a bumper crop of raspberries was hanging on the canes waiting to be picked when a driving rainstorm set in over a region known as Happy Valley in Central Pennsylvania. Necessity gave way to invention. The first batch of Tait Farm Foods' Shrub was made and gave way to the birth of an award winning specialty food company.
