Strawberry Shortcake

INGREDIENTS:

Mix up a batch of Tait Farm Dropped Biscuits according to mix instructions. "Drop" dough onto a lined baking sheet, creating 12 balls. Sprinkle a small amount of sugar on top of each ball. Bake according to instructions until lightly brown on top.

Pour heavy whipping cream into a mixing bowl. Using the metal whisk attachment, beat cream on medium-high until stiff peaks form. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, being careful to not overbeat the whipped cream.

Slice each biscuit in half, alternating layers: biscuit bottom, whipped cream, fresh strawberries, biscuit top.

NOTE: Ice cream can be used in place of whipped cream. Strawberries can be substituted with another berry, stone fruit or any Tait Farm fruit spread.
