Burgers with Tait Farm Chutneys
We love all kinds of burgers! When blended with fresh herbs and topped with the perfect cheese and one of our chutneys, your burger can go from ordinary to extraordinary!
Basic Burger Recipe:
1 lb. ground meat, poultry, or fish
1/2 C. finely chopped onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 - 2 Tbs. freshly chopped herbs
Mix all the ingredients together and form into 4 big patties or 6-8 sliders. Cook and top with cheese and chutney.
Vegetarian Option: 4 portobello mushrooms or
4 black bean or veggie burgers
Favorite burger combinations:
turkey - Cranberry Chutney - havarti - parsley
lamb - Rhubarb Chutney - feta cheese - mint and/or cilantro
chicken - Ginger Peach Chutney - Brie – chives and/or cilantro
pork - Apple Chutney – cheddar cheese - rosemary
beef - Tomato Chutney – cheddar cheese – oregano, basil and/ or parsley
salmon or firm whitefish - Mango Chutney – dill, cilantro and/or parsley
black bean/veggie/portobello - Tomato Chutney – pepper Jack - chives, parsley, and/or cilantro
Note: When using fish, cut raw fish into cubes and pulse in a food processor until coarsely ground.
