Charcuterie Sliders
Yummy-cheesy and equally tasty this appetizer is especially easy to eat standing up which is always a bonus for sports fans at a tailgate, guests at a patio party, or perhaps even the dish washer at home!
Ingredients:
1 14 oz. focaccia loaf
1 jar of Tait Farm Tomato Bruschetta or Fig & Olive Relish (Tait Farm Chutneys & Mustards are also delicious)
2-3 charcuterie meats (salami, prosciutto, rosemary ham capicola)
2-3 thin sliced or grated cheeses (provolone - fontina - mozzarella - asiago)
Carefully slice focaccia in half and open up like a book. Spread Tomato Bruschetta or Fig & Olive Relish (or other savory condiment) evenly on both sides of the loaf.
Layer meats and cheese on the bottom half of the loaf, alternating as you go. Carefully place the top on the sandwich.
Tightly wrap the sandwich with aluminum foil. Chill if making ahead.
To serve warm: place foil-wrapped packet on a baking sheet. Bake at 375°F for 25+ minutes, or until cheese has melted. Open it up and let it rest for 10 minutes; then cut with a serrated knife into 6 - 8 ‘sliders’.
These sliders may also be served without heating.
