Caramel Apple Buns
Caramel Apple Buns combines our Oat Scone Mix with Salted Caramel Apple Conserve for an especially scrumptious treat!
INGREDIENTS
1 package of Tait Farm Oat Scone Mix
1 jar of Tait Farm Salted Caramel Apple Conserve
2 Tbs. sugar + 1/2 tsp cinnamon
a little milk for brushing
Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper. Make scone mix according to instructions on the package. Divide the dough into 2 balls. On a heavily floured surface, pat and roll one dough ball into a rectangle approximately 9”x 7” x 1/2 inch thick.
Spread 1/2 of the jar of Caramel Apple Conserve, lengthwise, down the center of the rectangle, leaving a 2+ inch border on the long sides.
With the help of a dough scraper (or plastic ruler) gently roll dough into a log. With the seam side down, cut into 6 even portions and place cut side down on the parchment paper, leaving space between them. Repeat with second ball of dough.
Brush tops of buns with a little milk and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve warm. Makes 12 buns.
