Savory Flatbreads

Making your own flatbreads is very easy and really delicious. We like to use naan as the base, readily available in most grocery stores in the bakery section.

FAVORITE COMBINATIONS:

Apple Chutney - cheddar cheese, pancetta (cooked and crumbled), arugula, fresh rosemary

Cranberry Chutney - smoked gouda, roast turkey, fresh sage

Spiced Pear Chutney – brie, bacon (crumbled), fresh baby spinach or arugula

Rhubarb Chutney – roast chicken, paneer cheese (or fresh mozzarella), fresh cilantro

Tomato Chutney – Italian chicken sausage (cooked and sliced), fontina cheese, fresh baby spinach, and sautéed onions

Pineapple Jalapeño Jam - Fresh mozzarella cheese, Red bell pepper (cut into small pieces), Prosciutto, Arugula or baby spinach

DIRECTIONS:

Pre-heat oven to 375. Place naan on a lightly oiled baking sheet. Start by layering the cooked meat, greens, and chopped herbs on the flatbread, then dollop small spoonfuls of chutney evenly over the top. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and just golden.
