Spicy Grapefruit Paloma

The flavor of fresh citrus combined with the spicy and smoky heat of chilies is out of this world! Our Spicy Grapefruit Paloma is both refreshing and interesting. Enjoy!

2 oz. silver tequila
1 oz. spicy syrup (recipe below)
3/4 oz. lime juice, plus lime wheels
2 oz. Tait Farm Grapefruit Shrub
sage sprigs
chili powder

In a glass, combine tequila, spicy syrup, and lime juice. Top with shrub and garnish with lime wheels, sage, and a dust of chili powder.

For the Mocktail:

Omit the tequila and add a splash of sparkling water instead.

For the Spicy Syrup:

In a saucepan, cover 2 jalapeno peppers and 1 1/2 dried chipotle peppers with 3 cups water, bring to a boil, and cook for 5 minutes. Add 3 cups sugar; simmer 5 minutes more. Remove from heat and store in refrigerator. (Yields about 20 drinks)
